CALL FOR ABSTRACTS
This conference will be organised by the European Society for Philosophy of Medicine and Healthcare (ESPMH) and the Centre for Ethics, University of Tartu. Abstracts addressing the following topics can be submitted:
European, American, African and Asian or global bioethics?
- Philosophical foundations of bioethics
- Religious sources of bioethics
- Principles of bioethics
- Individual and collective values
Regulating medicine and healthcare: global or regional aspirations?
- Ethics, law and governance
- Public debates and policy outcomes
- Institutional Research Boards and Health Care Ethics Committees
- Funding of ethics research
Changes and challenges in medicine and bioethics
- Re-thinking traditions and concepts
- Solidarity and global justice
- Multiculturalism and health care
- E-health and new medical technologies
The program of the conference includes plenary sessions as well as parallel sessions. Persons wishing to present papers at the conference are invited to submit an abstract (500 words maximum) before March 1, 2008. The Conference Program Committee will select abstracts for oral presentation. Please send abstracts (through E-mail or on diskette in Word) to:
